Wire Erosion is the process were a metallic wire (electrode) is used to cut a programmed contour in a work-piece. Each electrical discharge creates a crater in the work-piece to remove material. The wire can be inclined, making it possible to create components with taper or differing profiles at the top & bottom of the work-piece.

This precision cutting process allows for work in a variety of materials including, aluminium, steel, tool steels, stainless steel, brass, bronze, copper, titanium or specialised alloys.
