Stock Holding at Chartway – How can you benefit?

Whether a component is manufactured at our facility in Asia; or here in the UK, we can often look to hold stock based on scheduled/forecasted annual usage.

We have experience in managing the complete supply chain; through our stock fulfilment services we offer our customers.

Many of these customers are considered “scheduled” accounts, where we manufacture in bulk to keep in stock for specific call off requirements.

We can take the risk out of your supply by managing the stock levels required to meet your weekly or monthly usages, and schedule deliveries into you accordingly.

Advantages of stock holding?

  • Storage space – compared to taking a full year’s worth of stock in 1 delivery, we can save your storage space by scheduling in monthly deliveries to suit your usage
  • Better Pricing – If you normally order just in time for a month’s worth of stock, then increasing the volume based on a year’s usage will usually lead to a more competitive price
  • Better stock control – We will produce stock up front (usually around 2-3 months’ worth) so that your call-offs can begin after the initial lead-in time. With Asia manufacture; we will always have stock in the UK, stock already on the water and on its way, and also WIP in Asia which will soon be ready to be sent
