We have already won work at Chartway which requires the use of the new stud welder we have recently purchased.
Working in collaboration with a local college (Dudley Institute of Technology) who kindly offered their services to 3D print a welding jig, we assemble threaded studs onto laser cut discs to be used on drinks dispensers.
The jig is vital in ensuring the position of the studs is correct to the drawing and is easily repeatable without having to keep measuring the position each time. This brings the assembly time down to just 2 minutes to weld all 6 studs in place!
The final assembly is then sent out to polishing and engraving, before being held in stock for KANBAN call-off.
